Yasmine Pahlavi says organized executions in Iran are murder

On Thursday, social media users, including figures like Yasmine Pahlavi, Kylie Moore Gilbert, protested against the widespread executions in Iran with the hashtag cuttherope.

In a video shared by her husband, Prince Reza Pahlavi, on the X network, Yasmine Pahlavi said that executions in Iran under the Islamic Republic government are organized murders, a crime by a regime where there is no independent judiciary system and free press, against people who have the least freedom and welfare in the toughest political and economic conditions. In the past 14 years, the Islamic Republic has executed nearly eight thousand Iranians, including 73 children and 212 women. Data shows that whenever global pressure on this regime decreases, the number of executions increases. Let’s not just say no to executions, let’s increase internal and international pressure on this 45-year-old regime.

In early February, dozens of female prisoners in Evin protested against the execution process, including the executions of Mohammad Ghebadoloo and Farhad Salimi, by going on a hunger strike.

This week, it was reported that a large number of political prisoners in various cities of Iran are going on hunger strike in solidarity with the prisoners of Qezel Hesar Prison for the fourth consecutive week.
