The supply of cars in the Iranian commodity exchange has become negative

Car supply in the Iran Commodity Exchange has been negative.

The spokesperson for the Competition Council in Iran has stated that car supply in the Iran Commodity Exchange has been overall negative.

According to the news agency KAR Iran, Ismail Shojai has said that the Ministry of Industry has also acknowledged that car sales should be conducted through a centralized system announced by the ministry itself.

According to Mr. Shojai, a number of registrations have been made for pre-selling cars, and car sales are currently being carried out through a lottery and appointment mechanism.

The spokesperson for the Competition Council has stated that car sales in the commodity exchange are detrimental to consumers.

Mr. Shojai has stated that car sales in the commodity exchange are not conducted through auctions in any part of the world. He said that car supply in the exchange was a temporary and mistaken decision, and the Competition Council has opposed the supply and sale of cars in the exchange from the beginning.

Whispers of car supply in the commodity exchange started in the second half of 1400 (2021) and were implemented in the second month of 1401 (2022).

The role of the Competition Council is to facilitate private sector activities in the economic sphere in order to reduce investment risks in this sector.
