Aleppo International Airport has been deactivated

Following an Israeli airstrike against Syria in the early hours of Tuesday, April 30th, a Syrian military source told the country’s official news agency that Aleppo International Airport has been deactivated.

The source added that seven military personnel were killed in this attack, including two civilians who were injured, and other material damages were inflicted.

According to this Syrian official, Israel targeted Aleppo International Airport and other areas in the city by firing missiles from the southeast.

According to regional media reports, Al-Safira district in Aleppo was also targeted by missile attacks. Several Syrian Ministry of Defense factories are located in Al-Safira.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an anti-government group monitoring Syrian developments from Britain, stated that the target of the attack was an ammunition depot at Aleppo Airport, which suffered extensive fires and heavy damage.
