Government's promise to import more than 200,000 vehicles in the new year

The government’s promise to import over 200,000 cars in the new year

Mustafa Taheri, the head of the Industries and Mines Commission of the Parliament, said on Friday, April 1st that based on the government’s plan and what has been seen in the budget bill for 2023, the target for car imports in 2023 is over 200,000 vehicles.

The promise to import this number of cars in the new year comes while Iran’s government program in the past year was not successful in importing 100,000 cars, and so far, no imported cars have entered the Iranian market.

The Iranian government intends to compensate for the car shortage in the market by importing cars, but the high prices of imported cars are one of the problems of supplying 200,000 imported cars in Iran for Iranian consumers.
