Rouhani Airbus was willing to invest to buy an airplane

Rouhani was willing to invest in Airbus and buy airplanes.

Hassan Rouhani’s focus was not only on signing something with JCPOA, we wanted to invest. We were looking to invest in JCPOA.

I raised three issues with the Airbus CEO. I said we would buy 100 aircraft from you, but we also want to become a piece of Airbus. We want our engineers to be involved in designing new aircraft. Airbus should provide us with credit for buying their aircraft.

Airbus was willing to invest and buy airplanes. Then the discussion inside started. One said we want a bus, not an airplane. One said they bought a paper airplane. In the parliament, they said we won’t allocate a budget to the government for buying airplanes. I said we don’t need a budget from you at all. Our new airplane will bring its own money for the purchase.
