The Secretary of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace stated that we are providing access to filtered platforms for the people.
The Secretary of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace said that filtered platforms will soon be available to the public through technical tools.
He mentioned that we had previously stated that foreign platforms must commit. Now, based on one year of experience and advancements in the field, two alternatives have been found.
He added that platforms are either accessible, sanctioned against us, or blocked. Those who have been sanctioned against us have been permitted to use an anti-sanction tool. Regarding the blocked ones, if someone can negotiate on their behalf or through a mediator, as long as they comply with our laws and regulations, it’s not a problem.
He further added that the work has now begun, and technical tools that can operate within the country’s laws are being tested. He personally tested one or two experimental samples, and their performance was good. This means that through domestic platforms and technical tools, they have been able to make foreign platforms accessible while complying with laws and regulations.
The Secretary of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace intends to provide skins for filtered applications that have been previously implemented in Iran, such as Telegram Gold. The important point is that this action poses a major threat to people’s security. Moreover, it is possible for specific entities to monitor users’ messages by providing skins.
