A 20% increase in mobile phone prices in one week

Following the government’s ban on importing the iPhone 14 and the rise in the exchange rate to 54,000 tomans, the prices of mobile phones in Iran have increased by 500,000 tomans to 20 million tomans in one week.

In a report published in the Etemad newspaper on Sunday, the 6th of Esfand, it was mentioned that the prices of mobile phones have skyrocketed in one week. The price of the iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1TB storage has increased to 20 million tomans, which was previously sold for 100 million tomans on the 27th of Bahman. In one week, its price has increased by 20 million tomans and reached 120 million tomans on the 4th of Esfand.

The price of the iPhone 13 has also increased by at least 50 million tomans in one week, from 42.5 million tomans to 50 million tomans. This indicates that the base version of the iPhone 13 has become approximately 7 million tomans more expensive in Iran in just one week. The price of the iPhone 13, 256GB version, has also increased by 4 million tomans during this period, from around 49 million tomans to 53 million tomans.
