Alireza Bigi has $24,000 to buy a BMW, but our people are forced to ride a Peugeot.

Ahmad Alireza Bigi, the representative of Tabriz in the parliament, stated that the price of a Peugeot 207 was 1.2 billion Iranian rials, which is equivalent to $24,000 at an exchange rate of 50,000 tomans per dollar. With this amount, one could buy the best BMW 2018, but people are forced to buy low-quality cars. This means that people are forced to ride a Peugeot 207 with this money. When the minister was dismissed, on that same morning, the price of the Peugeot 207 dropped to 700 million Iranian rials. This event is very significant, as it shows how the absence of one person can have such a different impact on the market and the economy.

The officials of the country have implemented mechanisms that have brought them to these positions, and they feel that they no longer need to seek the satisfaction of the people in order to maintain their responsibilities. The systems and procedures will once again empower them.
