According to the US State Department, Anthony Blinken, the Secretary of State, requested during a call with his Chinese counterpart in Beijing for China to use its influence to dissuade Iran from attacking Israel.

The United States has asked other countries, including Turkey and Saudi Arabia, to urge Iran not to carry out retaliatory attacks on Israel.
