Countering Iranian Drones at the Top of the Agenda for the US and Its Allies

Countering Iranian drones is at the top of the agenda for the United States and its allies

The United States has officially declared that Iran’s drone program in the course of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and its involvement in this aggression violates United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231. The Deputy Spokesperson of the U.S. Department of State, by announcing this violation by Iran, pointed out that it was the United States that made public the military cooperation between Iran and Russia in the aggression against Ukraine and exposed its dimensions. Vedant Patel, reflecting the views of the U.S. government on this matter, noted that Iran’s cooperation with Russia should be considered a serious threat to international security that the world must take seriously. He warned that any individual or entity that in any way assists Iran’s drone program should be vigilantly prepared for the consequences.
