Iran ranks sixth in high inflation rate

Iran ranks sixth among countries with high inflation rates.

The Tehran Chamber of Commerce, in its latest report, has examined various aspects of meeting expectations from the current state and predicting the future years of the global economy.

According to official statistics, currently about 39 countries in the world have inflation rates of less than five percent, 96 countries have recorded inflation rates between five and ten percent, 41 countries have inflation rates between ten and twenty percent, eight countries have inflation rates between twenty and forty percent, and nine countries have inflation rates above forty percent.

According to assessments, Zimbabwe has the highest inflation rate among all countries in the world, currently at 285 percent. It is followed by Venezuela with 210 percent, Sudan with 155 percent, and Turkey with 73 percent.

Inflation in Argentina is also 72 percent, in Iran 49 percent, in Sri Lanka and Suriname 48 percent, in Yemen 44 percent, and in Ethiopia 34 percent.
