Iranian Female Runner Makes Historic Gold Medal Win in Asian Championship

Iranian hurdler Nazanin Aidiyan wins historic gold in Asian Championship

Iran’s Nazanin Aidiyan secured the gold medal in the final of the 400m hurdles for youth at the Asian Athletics Championships held in the UAE. Aidiyan crossed the finish line with a time of 58.86 seconds, faster than others, breaking both youth and adult records in Iran and stood atop the Asia podium. She had won a silver medal in the same competition last year and now becomes the first Iranian youth female hurdler to win a gold medal. In other events, Melika Norouzi finished fourth in the hammer throw, Mana Hosseini placed seventh in the javelin throw, and in the boys’ 400m, Sajjad Aghaei finished sixth.
