The US President said on Thursday, February 19th, that Israel’s military response in Gaza has been excessive. He emphasized the need for a continuous ceasefire in order to help Palestinian civilians.
During a press briefing at the White House, Joe Biden stated, ‘As you know, I believe that the response in Gaza has been excessive.’
The US President added that serious efforts have been made to achieve a normalization agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel, increase humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians, and temporarily halt hostilities to free the hostages held by Hamas.
Joe Biden said, ‘I am strongly committed to reaching an agreement on a ceasefire and the release of hostages. There are many innocent people suffering from hunger and facing difficulties. This must be stopped.’
