While some had hoped that with the launch of the Iranian Exchange Center for Currency and Gold this week, the controlled exchange rate and ultimately the reduction of prices of other goods in the markets would occur, this did not happen and the upward trend of valid foreign currencies in the country continues.
On Friday, the euro exchange rate reached nearly 57,000 tomans and the British pound exchange rate peaked at 64,560 tomans.
