New Record of Dollar Price in Iran

The dollar rate in the Iranian free markets reached a new historical record on Friday, 20th of Bahman, with an increase of 440 tomans compared to the previous day, reaching 45,040 tomans.

The previous record of the dollar rate was in early Bahman, when it peaked at 45,000 tomans, but it rose again after fluctuations.

The euro rate also reached its peak at 48,590 tomans during the day.

The devaluation of the rial against major foreign currencies is happening while the authorities of the Islamic Republic had promised stability in the foreign exchange market in the past weeks.

The devaluation of the rial is also happening while the official statistics show that the country’s non-oil exports were $485 billion in the first 10 months of this year, with an 18% increase compared to the same period last year.
