According to reports from Iranian media, the price of red meat in Iran crossed 500,000 tomans on Friday, 28 Bahman. The price of one kilogram of boneless lamb stew meat reached 509,000 tomans, and the price of one kilogram of red meat increased to around 580,000 tomans.
On the same day, Mehdi Yousefkhani, the head of the Poultry and Fish Union, announced an increase in the price of chicken and stated that the current price of live chicken in poultry farms is 43,000 tomans per kilogram, and the price of cooked chicken in retail stores is 63,000 tomans.
According to him, the price of live chicken per kilogram has decreased by five thousand tomans in recent days due to a decrease in supply by poultry farmers, and the price of cooked chicken has increased by seven to eight thousand tomans.
Mr. Yousefkhani announced the current prices as 63,000 tomans per kilogram for chicken leg, 100,000 tomans for chicken breast, and 110,000 tomans for chicken fillet.
According to a recent report published by the Iranian Ministry of Labor, the per capita calorie consumption of Iranians in the year 1400 is about 2,200 kilocalories, which is 83% less than in 1396 and 185% less than in 1390.
