As the secretary of the Association of Automakers, I have criticized the conditions announced by the Ministry of Industry for the registration of imported cars. This way of writing guidelines is like giving a free hand to the middlemen. We have also informed the officials that this type of sales is not the right approach. If they allow it, we will repeat the experience of 1970 when cars were sold on the sidelines of the market and prices were regulated. We will not be faced with such a large number of registrations anymore. Based on statistics, there is more than 6500 billion tomans in cash in the country, which is not a small amount. This amount of cash is accumulated in various markets such as coins, dollars, and cars, and it disrupts these markets. What economists expect is for them to consider the situation of this amount of cash in the country, including the removal of cars from the basket of capital goods.
