Some political and cultural figures demand the release of Kianoush Mehtari and Anisha Asadollahi

Some political and cultural figures have demanded the release of Kianoush Mehrdad and Anisha Asadollahi.

Some political and cultural figures in Iran have expressed their objection and demanded the release of Kianoush Mehrdad and Anisha Asadollahi, two Iranian writers and translators who have been imprisoned in Evin Prison in Tehran since April 2022, through an open letter.

They have been sentenced to long prison terms on charges of social and conspiracy against national security and anti-regime propaganda during the widespread detention of trade union activists, teachers, and workers.

Mehrangiz Kar, Mohammad Maljoo, Hafez Moosavi, Nasim Khaksar, Mohammad Rasoulaf, Jinous Taqizadeh, Sarvar Kasemayi, and Fereshteh Molavi are among the dozens of signatories of this letter who have introduced Kianoush Mehrdad and Anisha Asadollahi as two compassionate and intellectual figures.
