The head of the police in Yazd province has detained a truck with its 11-year-old driver.

Rahim Hajideh Abadi, the head of the traffic police in Yazd province, stated that their officers have detained a heavy truck with 11-year-old drivers on the Ardekan-Naein road.

According to the state news agency, the officers stopped the truck during their patrol to inspect its documents and discovered that it was being driven by an 11-year-old boy. They immediately transferred the vehicle to a parking lot.

He stated that the truck was en route from Kerman to Tehran.

Mr. Deh Abadi stated that a legal case has been filed for this matter.

Iran newspaper reported that earlier this year, another truck driven by a 12-year-old child was detained in Yazd province.
