The price of the dollar has exceeded 52,000 tomans.
The upward trend in prices in the coin and dollar markets continues, and Iranian media have reported that the price of the Emami coin today, Friday, March 5, 2021, has crossed the 30 million tomans mark for the first time, and the price of the dollar in the Iranian free market has also exceeded 51,000 tomans.
Some media outlets, including Hammehe Emrooz, say that the price of the dollar has also exceeded 52,000 tomans and set a new record against the value of the rial.
According to the Ettelaat Union of Gold and Jewelry in Tehran, the price of the Emami coin was reported to be around 30 million and 500 thousand tomans until around 12:30 pm.
Based on this, the prices are announced as follows: the old design coin is 28 million and 300 thousand tomans, the half coin is 16 million tomans, the quarter coin is 10 million and 900 thousand tomans, and the gram coin is 5 million and 400 thousand tomans.
While the dollar has exceeded 52,000 tomans in the Iranian free market, Iranian media reported that more than 50 members of parliament have requested in letters to the Speaker of Parliament to invite the President to attend the Sunday morning session regarding recent currency fluctuations.
